Spec-ing an OEM hedge trimmer feels deceptively simple — until you realize the same 18V cordless trimmer can land at $48 or $112 FOB depending on six small choices. Here is the field guide we walk every new B2B partner through.
1. Battery: bundled or platform?
If your dealers run our cordless mowers and blowers, lock the same 18V P4A battery and ship trimmers as bare tools. You save 18–24% per SKU and your customers carry one charger instead of three.
2. Blade: laser-cut or stamped?
Laser-cut diamond-ground blades cost +$3.20 per unit but cut twice as long between sharpenings. Public-sector tenders almost always specify laser-cut; consumer-grade stamped is fine for builders’ merchant retail.
