This is a pretty beefy reel, it easily holds the 50ft of hose that mine came with. The retraction mechanism works really well and the hoses are very pliable.

The weakness of this unit is it's mounting. The mounting holes are wider than a stud which means you are going to have to mount it to something else then mount that to the wall or ceiling. Because the unit doesn't swivel from side to side, which is the case for most of these kind of units, it means you are going to be putting a lot of sideways pressure on your less than optimum mounting. If you are mounting it to masonry or only need to pull it straight out and not hard left or right you will be OK

A reel is a better solution than coiled up hose hanging on the wall for my situation. My air compressor usage is sporadic.

It works pretty well. Does get caught a little when putting it back, but Quick little pull fixes that.

Great reel but cheap hose.

Great reel, but you can tell the hose is cheaply made. Almost resembles a water hose. It has been on our service truck for one year now and hasnt given any trouble. Gets frequesnt use.

It was pretty easy to install.

Over 40 years of owning air compressors. this is the first hose reel I have owned. It was a spontaneous purchase and It was on sale on Amazon. I compared others and narrowed it down to this one. This one weighed 35 lbs the other weighed a little less. It is a very nice hose reel. I had looked at hose reels a few years ago but decided the corner in my garage was already to cluttered.
